Community Engagement and Investments
Health starts in our communities. So does change.
For too long, systemic barriers have kept millions of Americans from better health. AstraZeneca is working to change that by investing in community-driven solutions that expand access, improve affordability and drive better outcomes. Through our ACT on Health Equity Community Investment programs, we’re helping reimagine how care reaches the people and places that need it most.
Our approach to community investment
AstraZeneca takes a comprehensive approach to community investment, supporting solutions that address health disparities from multiple angles. From empowering local innovators through the Community Solutions Challenge to advancing impact through the AstraZeneca Foundation, we invest in programs that meet communities where they are to expand access, improve affordability and drive better health outcomes.
Community Solutions Challenge
The Community Solutions Challenge (CSC), launched in 2021, advances health equity by supporting community-based 501(c) organizations that address the social, cultural and linguistic needs of communities facing barriers to care and opportunity. To date, CSC has provided more than $3.7 million to over 160 local nonprofit programs working to reduce health disparities and expand opportunities in STEM.
