AstraZeneca Supports Hurricane Harvey Relief Efforts

Watching the devastating impact of Hurricane Harvey unfold in Houston, TX and other parts of the Gulf Coast region has made our hearts ache for all that has been lost. Our thoughts are with all those who have been affected and we extend our thanks to all the first responders, organizations and good Samaritans who are on the ground helping those in need.

AstraZeneca is committed to helping the communities that are impacted by natural disasters and we are aiding in the response to Hurricane Harvey and flooding on the Gulf Coast. We support the American Red Cross Corporate Disaster Responder program, which provides ongoing financial resources to respond to natural disasters as they arise.

Additionally, we contribute products to our two Non-Governmental Organizations (NGOs) - Americares and Direct Relief International - throughout the year to ensure they are prepared to respond to disasters. AstraZeneca is also making a $100,000 contribution to Americares to support efforts specific to Hurricane Harvey and the Gulf Coast. Our NGO partners continue to assess the needs of communities following disasters and deliver products where and when appropriate.

As part of AstraZeneca’s AZ&Me™ Prescription Savings Program, our team is assisting patients currently enrolled in our program who are located in impacted areas with emergency refills of their medications. For questions or assistance, call 1-800-AZandMe (1-800-292-6363).

In times of need and year-round, our dedicated employees volunteer their time and resources to support important causes. Through AstraZeneca’s Power of Us program, employee donations to nonprofit organizations are matched 100%. Employees also receive annual paid time off to volunteer with nonprofit organizations of their choice, furthering the collective impact we as a company can make.

Together we stand behind those impacted by Hurricane Harvey and thank everyone working tirelessly to provide aid and comfort to these communities.
