Roula Qaqish

Responsibilities
Roula Qaqish is the Vice President, Head of Medical Affairs, US Oncology at AstraZeneca. In this role, she leads the teams responsible for the development and delivery of medical strategy across AstraZeneca’s US oncology portfolio.
Prior Experience
Previously, Qaqish served as Franchise Head, US Medical Affairs, Women’s Cancers at AstraZeneca, where she led medical strategy for the franchise. Prior to joining AstraZeneca, she held senior leadership roles at Nektar Therapeutics, AbbVie and Pharmacyclics, where she led medical affairs organizations across oncology, hematology, and immunology.
Earlier in her career, Qaqish held positions at AbbVie and Abbott spanning clinical development and medical affairs in hepatology, infectious diseases, HIV and HCV. With more than two decades of industry experience, she has led high-performing teams and contributed to the development and commercialization of therapies across multiple therapeutic areas.
