Arturo is Vice President, Oncology. He is responsible for the strategic direction and performance of the U.S. Oncology business unit.
Prior to his time at AstraZeneca, Arturo was Vice President, Head of Global Commercial for the Cell and Gene Therapies Unit at Novartis, where he led a cross-functional global team to commercialize cell and gene therapies. At Novartis, he also led the global strategy of two oncology brands with a combined $3 billion in annual revenue, and served as General Manager of two regional business units.
Prior to Novartis, Arturo led market intelligence, business development and licensing teams for Bristol-Myers Squibb’s Italian affiliate, and also served as a product manager in the US. He began his career with Union Carbine Corporation, as an engineer and as a sales representative for its Commodity Plastics Division.
