Research and development (R&D) activity in Wilmington, Delaware

Located in Wilmington, Del., R&D Wilmington employs approximately 1,700 people (as of 12/ 31/2009) and is the home to the AstraZeneca central nervous system (CNS) Discovery team and a center of excellence in psychiatry, concentrating on developing therapies. R&D Wilmington also has world-class research technologies and capabilities focusing on Lead Informatics (LI), Compound Management & Automation (CMA), Assay Development & High Throughput Screening (AD/HTS). US Clinical research, regulatory affairs, and pharmaceutical and analytical R&D are also based at our Wilmington site.
