David P. NicoliVice President, Corporate Affairs

Responsibilities

David Nicoli is responsible for federal and state government affairs; corporate, product, and employee communications; corporate philanthropy; ally development; and community relations.     

Prior experience

David began his career in law in 1983 as a litigation associate at Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher & Flom in New York. He later worked with Hughes, Hubbard & Reed and Arnold & Porter in Washington, DC. At both firms, David represented numerous Fortune 500 clients in civil and criminal litigation and on regulatory and legislative matters. In 1991, David joined The Altria Group as Legislative Counsel in its Washington Relations Office. He held a number of additional leadership positions at the company, including Vice President-Federal Government Affairs; Vice President-Issues Management; Vice President-Corporate Affairs Strategy and Social Responsibility; and Vice President-Corporate Communications. In 2004, David joined AstraZeneca as Vice President of Communications and External Relations, and was named Vice President of Corporate Affairs in 2006. He also serves as Chairman of the AstraZeneca Healthcare Foundation, a nonprofit organization dedicated to improving the lives of patients by providing medication to those without access and means.
