Eric Terhaerdt
Vice President, Clinical US
Responsibilities
Eric Terhaerdt became Vice President, Clinical US, in July 2008. Clinical US is one of three regional hubs within Clinical Development that, together with Sweden and the UK, manage a number of critical processes in the development of drugs for AstraZeneca. This includes various phases of clinical trials that determine whether our candidate drugs have the qualities to safely improve the life of patients.
Prior experience
Previously, Eric was the Vice President of the Clinical UK Region focusing on clinical development of projects within the Oncology/Infection, Cardiovascular and Inflammation research areas. Prior to this role, Eric was the Regional Clinical Research Director at AstraZeneca for the Clinical Research Region Central and Eastern Europe (CRR CEE). He started within the pharmaceutical industry with AstraZeneca in Canada, but has spent most of his 18-year career abroad working within AstraZeneca R&D in Scotland, Sweden, the Czech Republic and Hungary.
